We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, prototyping, testing, and scaling the mechanical systems for our humanoid robots. This role requires a strong background in mechanism design, mechatronics, and manufacturing, coupled with the ability to bring products from concept to volume production.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on robotics, consumer electronics, or similar industries.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of prototyping and mechanism design.
  • Proficiency in designing machined, cast, and 3D-printed parts.
  • Experience with mechatronics, including sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and working with a global supply chain.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., OnShape,SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
  • Familiarity with testing, life-cycle analysis, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling designs for high-volume manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in robotics or control systems.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools for stress, thermal, and dynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prototyping and Design: Develop prototypes and refine designs for robotic mechanisms and subsystems.
  • Mechanism Design: Create and optimize precision mechanical systems, including linkages, joints, and actuation systems.
  • Mechatronics Integration: Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Industrial Design: Partner with in-house designers to meet product aesthetic and cosmetic requirements.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Design parts for machining, casting, 3D printing, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Global Supply Chain: Work with suppliers and manufacturers worldwide to source components, manage production timelines, and maintain quality standards.
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform life-cycle testing, quality assurance, and failure analysis to validate designs and ensure product reliability.
  • Volume Production: Oversee the transition of designs from prototype to mass production, including working directly with manufacturing partners globally.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and test data.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to work on groundbreaking robotics technology, enabling the next generation of humanoid robots to interact dynamically with their environments.
  • A collaborative and innovative environment that fosters creativity and exploration.
