What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors As a Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with internal and external project team members, clients, contractors, and other technical experts to deliver effective HVAC, plumbing and fire protection designs. You’ll leverage Revit and CADD and other design software to create solutions for a diverse range of projects, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook for effective calendaring and communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently and within a team structure.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and self-sufficient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for local and regional projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in daily communication with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary team members to address project needs.
  • Design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of commercial, educational, and institutional facilities, emphasizing energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and technicians from initial design phases to final construction documentation and field inspections.
  • Research and apply relevant codes, LEED principles, and best practices to designs.
  • Balance multiple project priorities and deadlines with precision and organization.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and scheduling and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit for project design and Bluebeam for team communication.
