About The Position

EGS is seeking an experienced engineering resource with mechanical engineering experience, as well as general experience in building systems/equipment, fire protection, and utilities to support our DOE customer in Las Vegas, NV. Local candidates preferred. Remote is OK with 1 trip/month to site. MUST BE US CITIZEN Description: Develop functional requirements documents (FRDs) and/or Project Requirements Specifications (PRS) for building, utility, equipment, and infrastructure projects including project/task breakdowns, identification of functional and non-functional requirements, and developing conceptual visualizations and illustrations of the layouts, site plans, and other perspective views. FRD/PRS development includes working with integrated project teams (IPTs) and stakeholders to capture their input, research, use of existing templates and previous projects, performing FRD/PRS reviews and comment resolution, and finalizing the document.

Requirements

• MUST BE US CITIZEN
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 or more years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects.
