About The Position

Leading the design, development, and refinement of mechanical systems and components to meet stringent operational and contractual specifications Conducting comprehensive design evaluations and performance tests using advanced CAD/FEA tools to ensure compliance with DoD standards Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and electrical engineering, ensuring seamless system integration Preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, design reports, and test protocols to support continuous improvement initiatives Implementing process improvements based on performance data analysis and feedback to optimize system functionality and reliability #LI-TF1 FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

Requirements

  • 10 plus years experience in a mechanical engineering role
  • One plus years experience must be with communication systems, networks, or technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering discipline, computer science or IT discipline, or technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components in accordance with contract specifications and DoD requirements
  • Proficient in utilizing CAD and FEA software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for advanced design validation and performance analysis
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, executing detailed tests, and implementing corrective actions to ensure system reliability
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Familiarity with advanced simulation tools and predictive maintenance methodologies to further enhance design reliability
  • Proven leadership experience in mentoring junior engineers and coordinating cross-functional project teams
  • Advanced project management capabilities to support the effective scheduling and execution of design projects
  • Knowledge of emerging mechanical technologies and composite materials to drive innovative engineering solutions
