KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to support construction quality assurance for large-scale infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and plumbing installations comply with project plans, specifications, and state and local building codes. The Mechanical Inspector helps maintain consistent quality standards, supports the verification of contractor work, and ensures the safety and integrity of complex mechanical systems. This position plays a key role in identifying deficiencies, tracking field progress, and coordinating between contractors and oversight teams. The Mechanical Inspector will work closely with project stakeholders to ensure all aspects of construction meet required standards within a high-stakes, large-scale infrastructure environment. Position Summary: The Mechanical Inspector provides technical oversight for a variety of infrastructure improvements and utility projects. This role requires a thorough knowledge of materials and methods used in HVAC, plumbing, heating, and refrigeration installations. The inspector is responsible for comprehensive daily reporting and must possess current ICC certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector. The Mechanical Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring contractor compliance with national codes and agency-specific standards, contributing to the successful delivery of significant public works and commercial building projects. This is a full-time position that may require various shifts (day, swing, or night) based on construction schedules.
