Position Summary The Mechanical Maintenance Operator is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, and repairs of various equipment throughout the plant. This role requires strong mechanical skills, welding experience, and broad knowledge of industrial maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability and willingness to perform tasks in multiple disciplines throughout the plant.
  • Knowledge of rigging and operation of mobile equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Good computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in welding and torch cutting fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluate equipment performance.
  • Use a preventive maintenance system and related work order system to track equipment performance.
  • Fabricate, install and repair steel structures including platforms, bracing and frames.
  • Read and interpret drawings to complete miscellaneous fabrication projects.
  • Assist in the installation, alignment and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Complete various weld repairs.
  • Complete required training within designated timeframes and attend all required meetings.
  • Understand and support the company’s goals and values and adhere to company, department, safety, quality, environmental, and ethics policies and procedures.
