LotusWorks is seeking a detail-oriented Wet & Dry Mechanical QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a high-tech semiconductor construction project. This role will focus on ensuring that all wet and dry mechanical systems, this includes piping, ductwork, and process utilities, are installed and tested in compliance with industry codes, project specifications, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of QA/QC inspection experience in wet and dry mechanical systems (semiconductor or industrial construction preferred).
  • Preferable working knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ICC, ASME, ANSI, SMACNA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with weld inspections, pressure/leak testing, and mechanical QA/QC documentation, preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities when working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant QA/QC certifications (e.g., ASME, AWS CWI, ISO 9001 Auditor) considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to ICC, ASME, ANSI, SMACNA, and other applicable quality standards during inspections.
  • Witness and verify hydrostatic, pneumatic, and sensitive leak tests to ensure system integrity.
  • Ensure piping components, materials, welding, fabrication, and erection processes conform to ASME B31.3 Code and specific engineering design requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections of all completed welds and conduct random checks of welds during and after fabrication.
  • Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and maintain inspection records for traceability and compliance audits.
  • Identify, document, and track deviations or defects (non-conformances) and initiate corrective action processes.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards for compliance before and during execution.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and engineers to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
