Requirements

  • 3 in 10 job tenure. No exceptions. Candidates must provide reasons for leaving all roles.
  • Experience managing foremen, overseeing project budgets, building labor plans, performing material takeoffs, meeting with inspectors, coordinating with GCs, and walking jobs daily.
  • Must be OK with some travel around the Charlotte metro and Columbia, SC. Long‑term, this person will spend time in both areas, especially Charlotte.

Nice To Haves

  • Multifamily project experience.
  • High‑rise mechanical construction involving: Sheet metal Piping Startups Line sets
  • Experience with large‑scale, high‑rise construction similar to PDI‑type projects — No small hotels or 2–4 story townhomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage field crews and foremen on major mechanical construction projects.
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and schedule alignment.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, labor plans, materials, and equipment.
  • Perform and review material takeoffs; coordinate timely procurement and delivery.
  • Walk jobsites daily to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control.
  • Interface with inspectors, general contractors, engineering teams, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret plans, specifications, and mechanical drawings to guide installation activities.
  • Support planning meetings, scheduling, sequencing, and coordination with other trades.
  • Ensure all mechanical work complies with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Assist with change orders, field documentation, and project reporting as needed.
  • Lead and foster a safety‑first culture aligned with OSHA‑compliant jobsite practices.
