About The Position

This position is responsible for day to day mechanical maintenance operations as well as spare parts inventory and requisitions. Also, to ensure that the plant maintenance is conducted in a cost effective and safe manner that will maximize equipment uptime.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance role
  • A college degree or vocational degree may substitute for two (2) years’ experience and two (2) years supervisory experience
  • Must have good communications skills.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must have working knowledge of electronic systems
  • Must possess welding, machining, and millwright skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians
  • Responsible to assist in overseeing Maintenance contractor work
  • Ability to perform all duties of Maintenance Technician as outlined in Job Description 02
  • Ability to fill in for Sr. Maintenance Manager in their absence
  • Ensures preventative, predictive Maintenance schedules are met
  • Train employees on computerized AMMC maintenance programs
  • Responsible for day to day guidance of seeing that maintenance issues obtain safe, swift, corrective actions in line with the original equipment manufacturers guidelines and assisting the maintenance team to resolve repetitive equipment failures
  • Maintain supplies, tools, work order parts, and emergency orders, etc
  • Coordinates with Production, QA, and Logistics on maintenance during downtimes
  • Assists in troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipment
  • Ensures all equipment is maintained and in good working condition
  • Ensures maintenance technicians wear all safety equipment and follow good housekeeping policies
  • Maintains professional certifications and ensures maintenance employees are properly trained
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Sr. Maintenance Manager
  • Complies with all SQF procedures
  • Reports any food safety problems to a member of management or SF Practitioner
