About The Position
Summary: Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS Provider Status.
- Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing.
- Completes a Monitor course through MDIH or provides another arrhythmia course certificate and competency is validated.
- Recent training/experience in medical terminology and training/expertise with delivering patient care.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
- Ability for high performance under stressful situations.
- Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through.
- Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift.
- Must be able to bend/lift 25-50 lbs (assisting patients in and out of bed, etc.).
- Potential exposure to blood body fluids
- Potential for exposure to contagious diseases.
- Potential for periods of high stress.
Nice To Haves
