We’re seeking a Media Capture Artist based in the Grand Rapids region to help bring our growing local JAM community to life through standout photo and video content . Candidates must be a great fit with the JAM Core Values: Chase the Vision Deliver What You Promise Take Pride in What You Do Get Shit Done Treat Everyone Like Your Best Friend Find a Better Way JOB DESCRIPTION Our Media Capture Artists are essential to capturing the energy, community, and fun that define JAM Sports. You’ll attend JAM Sports Gra nd Rapids leagues, tournaments, and events to photo gra ph and film players in action, bringing the JAM experience to life through creative visuals and storytelling. This is contract-based work, scheduled as needed throughout each season, typically a few times per month depending on events, tournaments, and campaign needs. Most shoots take place in the evenings (6:00–10:00 PM), with occasional weekend opportunities.

Requirements

• Creative & Energetic You have a strong creative eye, love capturing real energy, and can think on your feet. You’re confident approaching players and finding fun, spontaneous moments.
• Own Gear You must have access to your own photography and/or videography equipment. The ability to shoot both is a strong asset.
• Independent & Reliable You can get to and from venues on your own. A vehicle or reliable transportation is . You’re self-motivated, organized, and dependable.
• Receptive to Feedback You’re comfortable taking direction and feedback to continuously refine your work.
• Innovative Mindset You bring new ideas , experiment with creative techniques, and look for better ways to tell stories through photos and videos.
• Access to reliable transportation within the Grand Rapids area (own vehicle preferred).
• Evening availability (typically between 6:00–10:00 PM).
• Weekend availability for special tournaments or events.
• Own professional camera equipment .

Nice To Haves

• Experience capturing live or sports environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Capturing high-quality still photo gra phy and/or video footage of JAM Sports Gra nd Rapids l eagues, tournaments, and special events .
• Showcasing JAM players and community moments in a creative and engaging way.
• Bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to every shoot.
• Comfortably interacting with players and staff to capture authentic, candid moments.
• Applying feedback constructively to continuously improve content quality.
• Organizing and delivering edited files on schedule.
