About The Position

The Tampa Bay Times is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to help local businesses grow through integrated multi-platform advertising (print + digital) solutions. This role is responsible for generating new revenue, managing client relationships, and delivering multi-platform marketing strategies across print and digital channels. As a representative of one of the region’s most trusted brands, our Media Sales Account Executives play a key role in connecting businesses with engaged local audiences while driving measurable results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3+ years of B2B, media, or advertising sales experience
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue goals
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build credibility with business owners and decision-makers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and self-directed with strong time management abilities
  • Working knowledge of digital advertising solutions
  • Experience using CRM platforms
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through proactive prospecting, in-market outreach, and networking
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of advertising clients
  • Identify client goals and recommend effective print and digital advertising solutions
  • Present proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business
  • Meet or exceed established revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting within CRM
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure successful campaign execution
  • Support long-term client retention through consistent communication and strategic account management
