About The Position

Large Nephrology practice seeks experienced AR Representative position for its Halethorpe, Maryland office. We are looking for the right AR team player with prior knowledge of insurance follow-up, and CPT/ICD 10 coding knowledge. The AR Representative candidate must have good working knowledge of insurance follow-up protocols and proven track record of AR success. We are looking for someone that possesses strong computer skills and a solid knowledge of healthcare concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to follow established office policies and procedures of the practice, while maintaining a professional and business-like demeanor. Candidate will be a highly organized, skilled professional with positive communication skills. Previous experience with Allscripts PM, Veradigm PM, and nephrology a plus.

Requirements

• Previous billing/AR experience
• Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
• Make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents
• Must have effective oral and written communications skills
• Previous computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite/Outlook/Practice Management System
• Prospective employee must pass a criminal background check.

• Previous experience with Allscripts PM
• Previous experience with Veradigm PM
• Previous experience with nephrology

Responsibilities

• Work outstanding pending and denied claims
• Correct patient accounts as needed, verify eligibility, review effective dates, and obtain referrals/authorization as needed
• Balance batch each day for patient adjustments
• Take patient phone calls
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
