About The Position

Susquehanna is seeking a full-time onsite Medical Assistant and Wellness Coordinator to support our Nurse Practitioner and help deliver high-quality acute care and wellness services to our employees. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional who enjoys the combination of hands-on clinical support, operational management and wellness education. The Medical Assistant and Wellness Coordinator will work closely with the onsite NP and the Susquehanna Global Benefits and HR teams to ensure smooth daily operations of the Wellness Center while helping advance overall employee health and wellbeing initiatives. The Wellness Center is located in Susquehanna’s headquarters in Bala Cynwyd and is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Wellness Center visits are typically thirty minutes. The Wellness Center supports roughly 1,800 onsite employees. This role will spend one half of their time in the Wellness Center and the other half of their time in HR.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical certification required
  • Active CPR/AED certification
  • Experience in a clinical or occupational health setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of paper and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical providers, HR, Benefits, and external partners
  • Ability to work onsite five days in our Bala Cynwyd office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical or occupational health setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the NP with patient intake, chart preparation, vital signs, rooming and clinical workflows
  • Perform lab draws and administer vaccinations as prescribed by outside providers
  • Prepare exam rooms, maintain infection control standards, and ensure appropriate stocking of medical supplies
  • Support diagnostic testing, specimen handling, and coordination of lab pick-ups
  • Assist with triage and response for any onsite medical needs
  • Manage daily Wellness Center scheduling and patient flow
  • Collect lab requests from employees and share lab results with the prescribing physician
  • Coordinate external vendor relationships, including onsite pharmacy delivery, laboratory services, and medical supply vendors
  • Maintain accurate written and/or electronic medical records
  • Ensure compliance with internal protocols and healthcare regulations
  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunities to maximize employees’ time with the NP
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to Wellness Center services
  • Partner with the Global Benefits and HR teams to support and deliver employee health and wellness initiatives, including:
  • Flu shot clinics
  • Monthly wellness topics and initiatives
  • Preventive health and screening campaigns
  • Annual Gym + Wellness Fair
  • Assist with planning, logistics, communication and onsite execution of wellness events
  • Track participation and help gather feedback to continuously improve wellness offerings
  • Develop partnerships with local providers for referrals and onsite events
