Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
1+ years of experience in a clinical setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Experience or interest in behavioral health or integrated care settings

Responsibilities

Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information
Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
Administer medications in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
Coordinate patient flow, help maintain a calm and welcoming environment
Schedule patient appointments and conduct outreach to support continuity of care
Support patients with education and resources related to mental health treatment as directed by the provider
Participate in team huddles, training and continuous quality improvement efforts
