Medical Assistant - Cardiology
About The Position
We are currently seeking a highly motivated bilingual Medical Assistant to assist our medical providers. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/clinic. The position supports both providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. This role will report to our Clinic Supervisor and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry. Requirements
- One (1) or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to maintain confidentiality following HIPAA
- Demonstration of mature judgment
- Attention to detail, organized, ethical, and reliable
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly manner
Nice To Haves
- Active and unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in California preferred
- Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese or Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Verify patient information by interviewing patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, confirming purpose of visit or treatment,
- Perform EKG and cardiac heart monitor hook up.
- Clerical tasks may include: insurance eligibility verification, pre-authorizations requests, scheduling appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
