Requirements
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of verifiable MA experience in a patient care setting
- Current BLS certification (and ability to meet credentialing requirements if applicable)
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fastâmoving setting
- A teamâoriented mindset and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Responsibilities
- Delivering patient care under the supervision of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- Gathering patient data through interviews and observation and preparing patients for exams and procedures
- Assisting providers during examinations and clinical procedures
- Accurately documenting treatments, procedures, and patient education
- Entering medication, lab, and imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction
- Managing clinical and patient phone calls using sound clinical judgment
- Collaborating with administrative and operational staff to support seamless clinic workflow
- Helping coordinate specialty testing, referrals, and patient scheduling needs
