We are searching for a full-time Medical Assistant Lead for our Fenton Family
Medicine office located at 714 Gravois Road!

Opportunity:

Full-time opening
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
No nights, weekends, or holidays
Outpatient clinical practice

Requirements

• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CPR Certification.
• PC/Windows proficiency.
• Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• The Medical Assistant Lead is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
• Medical coding familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Guide other Medical Assistants in their daily responsibilities, provide training, and communicate procedural and policy updates
• Act as a liaison between the department and the Office Manager
• Perform back office functions
• Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
• Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
• Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
