About The Position

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, provides clerical assistance to the clinical and provider staff of Family Healthcare of Hagerstown to ensure efficient care to patients. Assists with 'no show', ER, and hospital admission tracking. On occasion may function as a clinical support MA. Supports and follows through with the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Family Healthcare of Hagerstown. Responsibilities and Duties Position Specific Duties: Knowledge of the individual processes within the clinical area and ability to operate all office equipment Customer Relations/Quality: Demonstrates regard for, dignity toward, and respect for all patients, families, guests, and representatives of other organizations to ensure a professional, courteous, and responsive environment. Safety: Performs job responsibilities with attention to safety concerns relating to staff, equipment, and the facility. Employee/Employer Relations: Maintains respect for employees and volunteers, and their individual commitment and contributions in support of the CHC's mission to provide consistent quality services. Provider Support/Patient Care: Performs quality clinical care to ensure holistic care for patients in a Community Health Center. Requirements

  • Must have received a certificate or training indicating satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and groups, including diversified patient population, clinical staff, area health professionals, and the general public
  • Adequate typing skills to be able to enter data into the EHR efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills to include launching applications, managing ‘Windows’ and Templates in the EHR, and using a Tablet PC.

Nice To Haves

  • Family Practice or pediatrics experience preferred
