About the position
Join our Orthopedic team at MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - North Conway as a Medical Assistant and be part of helping patients heal, recover, and get back to doing what they love. In this role, you'll support providers with hands-on care, assist with procedures, and ensure every patient feels supported from start to finish. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting.
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
- One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required.
