About The Position

Job Title Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative- Float 3-4 Days a week-Monday-Thursday Schedule. Minimum of 25 hours a week @ $17.50-19.00hr. Patient Services Representative (PSR) Duties Provide front‑desk coverage across multiple clinic locations as needed. Greet patients, check them in, and verify demographic and insurance information. Collect co‑pays, outstanding balances, and required forms. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments. Manage incoming calls, messages, and patient inquiries. Prepare daily paperwork, reports, and appointment lists. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment. Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality in all interactions. Medical Assistant (MA) Duties Room patients, take vitals, document chief complaints, and update medical histories. Assist providers with exams, procedures, and in‑office treatments. Perform basic clinical tasks such as point‑of‑care testing, specimen collection, and medication administration (as allowed by certification and facility policy). Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment. Process medication refills per protocol. Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and patient follow‑up tasks. Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly in the EHR. Floating Role Expectations Provide coverage for both planned PTO and unplanned call‑outs/absences. Maintain flexibility to work in different departments based on need. Be familiar with workflows, policies, and procedures across all assigned areas. Adapt quickly to changes in schedule, patient volume, and operational needs. Communicate effectively with leadership and teams regarding daily assignments. Support staff in high‑volume periods or during staffing shortages. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in all rotations. Schedule & Availability Requirements Work a minimum of 3 days per week. Have availability for same‑day coverage requests when possible. Participate in rotating coverage schedules as assigned.
