The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. Our physicians are board certified rheumatologists who work closely with other physicians and specialists to coordinate care of our patients with complex rheumatologic conditions. We are seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to support our Dover and Portsmouth locations on an as-needed basis, typically at least one day per week, to help fill staffing gaps and provide coverage during call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies. This role operates on an 8:30am–5:00pm schedule and offers the opportunity to be cross-trained at the front desk. The ideal candidate will have direct patient care experience and be comfortable supporting both 30-minute and 1-hour patient visits. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking and documenting vitals, assisting with charting, and supporting care for patients with complex medication regimens. Flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment are key to success in this role. Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
