About The Position

Christie Clinic's department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant at the Windsor/Champaign clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position will require the ability to travel to the St. Joseph and Danville clinics, as needed, to support the department. Duties include performance of skills through the delivery of patient care using a systematic patient assessment. Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate and/or graduation from an accredited program for medical assistants is highly preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Requirements

High school diploma or better
CPR

Responsibilities

Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments prior to appointment.
Clean and restock following appointment.
Assist patient to exam room, take vitals, weight and height of patient.
Enter information into the electronic medical record.
Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit including allergies, medications, etc. and enter into the electronic medical record.
Flag appropriate room for provider to see patient.
Assist with procedures during appointment including but not limited to paps
Fax forms, orders to nursing homes, etc. as directed by nurse.
Sort faxes and distributes appropriately.
Administer injections as needed, as directed.
POCT including but not limited to urine dips and swabs
Perform related work as required.
