About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Adult Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work in our Bowling Green OH office location. The hours are Monday &Thursday (8:00-4:30), Tuesday& Wednesday (7:00-3:30) and Friday (8:00-3:00). Qualified candidates will have an MA diploma/degree/certification along with a credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or be eligible to obtain such credential within 60 days of employment. Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus. General Summary:                                                     Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
  • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
  • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA)
  • Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
  • Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
  • Escorting patients to exam room.
  • Preparing exam rooms.
  • Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
  • Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
  • At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
  • Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
  • Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
  • Administering injections.
  • Other duties as assigned.
