About The Position

Our well-established otolaryngology practice is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our collaborative team. You’ll work closely with both our otolaryngologist and audiologist to support a wide range of patient care from ear, nose, and throat procedures to hearing aid fittings and adjustments. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
  • 1–2 years of medical office or clinical experience (ENT or audiology setting preferred)
  • Strong computer skills (EMR, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and record vitals, medical histories, and chief complaints
  • Assist with in-office ENT procedures (earwax removal, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and procedure rooms
  • Manage referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and post-procedure care
  • Conduct routine hearing screenings and assist with audiometric testing
  • Take ear impressions and assist with hearing aid fittings and adjustments
  • Clean and maintain audiology equipment and instruments
  • Perform minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshoot common issues
  • Schedule follow-ups, maintain patient files, and handle clerical support
