Job Description: SCOPE: Obtains patient medical information, including x-rays, from various medical facilities and the patient to ensure a complete and accurate medical record. Schedules and coordinate appointments for special procedures and other testing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CMA (certified medical assistant) certification required from a national testing agency (NHA, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP etc.)
- BLS CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Assisting in a clinic for 2 years or more preferred
- Oncology clinic experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtaining information for initial consultations
- Scheduling medical tests and procedures
- Performs medical record scanning
- Assists or assumes duties of LPN as needed
- Schedules PET CT and diagnostic CT exams from internal and external physicians.
