Pinnacle Dermatology, part of the QualDerm partners family, is seeking a committed Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our vibrant team in our Plymouth, MN location. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a clinical environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and best practices relevant to dermatology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interaction.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced work setting.
  • Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history
  • Assist the physician during examinations and procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
  • Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Educated patients on their treatment plans, medications and skincare practices
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and ready for the next patient
