Position Overview The Instructor of Nursing is responsible for teaching and supervising nursing students in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings. Faculty members also contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and program improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting or a closely related field
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA)
  • Candidates must hold and maintain a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to nursing students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technologies to support diverse learning styles.
  • Supervise students in clinical settings and ensure safe patient care practices.
  • Evaluate student performance using established grading tools and rubrics.
  • Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and counseling to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, clinical performance, and grades in the college learning management system.
  • Conduct pre- and post-clinical conferences and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities.
  • Assist with student recruitment, admissions activities, and program evaluation.
  • Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with program faculty and administration.
  • Serve as a liaison with healthcare partners and clinical sites.
