Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of employment
Ideally, 5+ years of practice experience
Positive and effective leadership
Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support veterinarians and clinical staff to advance medical excellence and professional growth
Ability to practice advanced medical care with a team of dedicated, credentialed nurses to support you
Establish and maintain medical protocols, standards of care, and compliance initiatives
Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, operational performance, and client experience initiatives
Foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports excellence in patient care
Lead team meetings, recruitment, performance reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
Continue clinical practice while serving as a clinical leader and role model
