About The Position

Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center is seeking a dedicated, service-oriented, and compassionate Medical Front Office Coordinator to join our close-knit Integrative Services and Navigation team. As a Medical Front Office Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact between providers and patients. Your role will involve providing empathetic support to individuals facing a cancer diagnosis, as you will be interacting regularly with patients and their families, their referring healthcare offices and their integrative providers on the team to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for all.   • Minimum of two years of experience in medical office preferred
  • Proficient in keyboarding and administrative tasks, including strong spelling, proofreading, and grammar skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working inside Epic and/or other electronic health record databases
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and performing effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Requires mastery of complex language, comprehension, reasoning, and analytical skills typically found in mid to high-level work.

Responsibilities

  • Support Integrative Services team providers in delivering patient care within a collaborative care team model
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for patients at the Anchorage office
  • Work within each provider’s schedule across different locations and track data on their patient visits
  • Independently obtain and organize necessary medical records for patient charts
  • Ensure smooth appointment flow and maintain daily schedule organization
  • Manage patient calls and follow-up communications
  • Communicating with staff members at our other locations as necessary
  • Complete environmental service tasks as needed
  • Work recall task list for patient follow ups
  • Organize incoming and outgoing faxes
  • Other duties as assigned to support the director and team
