The front office team will collect patient copays including balances owed, complete orders, remove flags and work assigned task buckets. This position is required to travel and rotate to any or all of Cardiac Solutions office locations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of medical insurances.
  • Skill in working with an EMR system, athenaPractice preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to provide quality patient care and customer service.
  • Ability to use mental math, work with currency and make change.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 6-months medical front office experience preferred
  • Medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly greets and acknowledges patients.
  • Use EMR system to check patients in and out in for their scheduled appointment.
  • Review and update patient information to ensure patient profile is always up to date.
  • Scan in all necessary insurance cards, ID’s, and any paperwork, if applicable.
  • Obtain Patient Photos when needed
  • Collect co-pays and/or balances and document patients financial and appointment notes accurately in the system.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding any changes in patient information.
  • Sign in/out cash boxes at beginning and end of work shift.
  • Settle cash boxes and credit card machine for individual cash drawers.
  • Activate patients in the portal.
  • Work assigned daily tasks.
  • Utilize office opening and closing procedures to open and close office daily.
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of position.
