Why This Role? As a member of an interdisciplinary care team, the Medical Services Supervisor is responsible helping to ensure the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of methadone treatment services. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee daily dispensing operations, supervise nursing staff, and maintain rigorous auditing and reporting standards. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to support coordinated, high-quality client care. This is a full-time, exempt, position with a variable schedule, including some Saturday shifts. The wage range is $89,440 to $97,760 annually.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Washington and a Bachelor’s Degree in a social science or medical field, and/or plus five years’ experience in medical service delivery setting.
  • Three years supervisory experience; knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertaining to drug abuse treatment; knowledge of the dispensing of methadone and other drugs in a drug treatment setting.
  • Documentation of health department training and approval to administer or read TB tests.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adherence of medical unit procedures and practices in accordance with Federal, State and County regulations.
  • Ensures security of methadone. Maintains accurate and current methadone inventory and dispensing reporting records.
  • Maintains a system of auditing of methadone on a daily basis.
  • Liaison with other community addiction treatment facilities and health care providers necessary to coordinate client care.
  • Coordinates urine-monitoring program. Monitors inventory and orders supplies necessary to the functioning of the medical unit and dispensary.
  • Evaluate needs and effectiveness of current practices. Ensures accurate execution of medication orders.
  • Communicates with staff regarding observed patient behavior to insure coordination of consistent treatment.
  • Maintain records of clients PE, blood work and TB testing.
  • Oversees dispensing of methadone at County Jails and County Perinatal Programs.
  • Participates in Treatment Team.
  • Attends all meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
