About the position
This position is for a Physician Assistant within the Federal service, specifically in Albuquerque, NM and Mescalero, NM. The role requires candidates to have sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic healthcare services to all age groups.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat various illnesses.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Educate and counsel patients.
- Collaborate with physicians concerning patient care and management.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited physician assistant educational program.
- Successful completion of the NCCPA examination.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level.
