Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred.
- License: /Certifications: Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
- Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
- Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients.
- Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
- Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
