Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Leaderships skills
High school diploma or GED
Must have successfully completed the 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training Course and be certified by the Nebraska Health and Human Services System, as well as the 40-hour Medication Aide Course and certified as a Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

Prepare, administer and document prescription medications and treatments, as assigned by supervisor.
Attend to resident care needs as care planned and document.
Recognize and report to the Charge Nurse changes in resident's condition (physical, mental, emotional, behavioral).
Perform and document special tasks including blood glucose readings, pulse oximetry readings, established inhalation therapy.
Review resident Care Worksheets to ensure all needs are identified accurately, plans are complete, and goals are accomplished as defined; report any changes to Charge Nurse.
