Why You’ll Love Working with NurseDash Same-day pay through DailyPay or direct deposit Competitive hourly rates plus 1.5x pay for holidays 100% flexible scheduling – pick shifts that fit your life, no minimums Unlimited referral bonuses for qualified referrals Performance incentives that reward reliability Exclusive rewards program – earn points and redeem for nurse gear, gift cards, trips & more Shift access you can’t get elsewhere – exclusive to NurseDash Discounted health insurance options tailored for healthcare professionals 24/7 support team to assist you anytime Career growth opportunities with discounted, self-paced education Medication Technician (Med Tech) Responsibilities Administer medications via approved routes (oral, topical, instillation) according to facility protocols and state scope Apply the “Six Rights” of medication administration: right patient, right drug, right dose, right time, right route, right documentation Monitor residents for side effects or reactions and report concerns to supervisor Document medication administration and resident responses per facility and regulatory guidelines Assist with vital signs and basic assessments when permitted by facility policy Provide personal care support (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting) as needed Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nursing leadership Follow all infection control, safety, and facility protocols Participate in trainings, audits, and quality assurance initiatives Maintain confidentiality, respect, and professionalism with residents, families, and staff Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Active Medication Aide certification in the State of North Carolina, listed on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry (completion of a state-approved training program and competency evaluation required). Active Nurse Aide I (NA I) certification, listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, assist with resident mobility, and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration and documentation. Effective communication skills in English — reading, writing, and verbal comprehension. Minimum 1 year of experience in a medication administration or Med Tech role preferred.
