About The Position

Allegro Senior Living is hiring a Full-Time Medication Technician (Med Tech) for 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) at our Parkland, Florida community. As a Med Tech at Allegro Parkland, you will support medication administration, monitor residents for effectiveness and changes in condition, and work closely with nurses and caregivers to ensure safe, compliant care. Candidates with prior Med Tech experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living (ALF/AAL), or hospital setting are preferred, though not required. A strong focus on accuracy, professionalism, and compassionate resident interaction is essential. The Medication Assistant is to provide resident care services including assistance with self-administration of medication, to the residents in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) according to scheduled duties and assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment.

Requirements

  • Med Tech Certificate required
  • CPR Certification required
  • Experience in SNF, Assisted Living, AAL, or hospital preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Professional, team-oriented mindset
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must possess current Medication Training certification.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults highly preferred.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on the state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the State.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Able to approach all encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
  • Work closely with and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
  • Participate in resident activities and lead resident activities as needed.
  • Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.
