Must maintain a good attendance record
Must be capable of lifting 50lbs, reach and lift moderately heavy parts – up to several hundred repetitions per shift
Ability to stand on one’s feet, bend, and / or twist a minimum of 8 hours per day
Must be able to ascend / descend stairs
Must be able to sit, walk, climb, stoop and kneel
High School/GED/ or equivalent
Ability to move between machines as needed
Knowledge of molds and casting process theory

Responsibilities

Tap furnaces as directed by the supervisor
Set up and operate the furnace for melting
Ability to load and unload the materials
Clean furnace and equipment
Count, weigh and record number of units of materials moved on daily production sheet
Remove samples of materials, label them with identifying information and take samples for laboratory analysis
Operate industrial truck or electrical hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and product
Skim sows and ingots, paying great attention to detail to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards
Responsible for stacking, banding and prepping of product for shipping
Ability to diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of furnaces.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition ensuring strict adherence to 5S standards
Responsible to accurately and timely complete all necessary paperwork, such as, attendance reporting, corrective actions, preventative maintenance work orders, etc
Comply with established QMS procedures
Follow the requirements of the Quality Policy, ISO/TS system, and procedures and participate in the Continuous Quality process
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions in a timely manner
Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries, including wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
