We are currently seeking motivated, community-minded candidates to join our founding team as a Full-Time Member Services Representative at our upcoming Kentwood/Grand Rapids location. When we open our doors to this new community, you will play a key role in establishing the Genisys reputation for excellence. This position also includes the opportunity to earn incentive pay. POSITION PURPOSE: Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served by performing a broad variety of member services functions in our newest market.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lending processes is helpful.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment.
- Solid typing and data entry skills.
Responsibilities
- Building Relationships: Cross-selling credit union products and services to provide high-quality member service and reach credit union growth goals.
- Account Management: Opening and closing membership accounts with a focus on a great first impression.
- Lending: Performing loan transactions—from processing applications through payout—following Genisys lending procedures and guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Ensuring members' requests and questions are promptly resolved in person, over the phone, or via other communication methods.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Ensuring the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected within the Kentwood and Grand Rapids communities.
- Licensing: Obtaining the appropriate state license to sell loan protection insurances.
