About The Position

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Member Service Representative ll (MSR ll), will accurately and efficiently process SCCCU’s members’ financial transactions, resolve problems, assist with questions and perform a variety of duties to support operations, internal departments and retail functions, while promoting and advising on its products and services. Additionally, this position will be expected to travel between all SCCCU branches to provide support and coverage, as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual English / Spanish proficiency required
  • Proficient MS Office, related software, 10-key calculator, fax, photocopier and multi-line phone skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Astute attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be bondable
  • Valid CA driver’s license and a clean and insurance driving record

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all members, with a professional and approachable demeanor
  • Stay up to date with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services to effectively match members with the best options for their needs, while proactively identifying and exploring new opportunities
  • Reconcile the cash drawer and daily transactions to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor and maintain cash levels within assigned limits to ensure compliance, accuracy and loss prevention
  • Receive, inspect, and verify cash and negotiable instruments while accurately processing a variety of financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, wire transfers, and the issuance of cashier’s checks and money orders
  • Assist members with opening and closing various accounts offered at SCCCU, resolve account-related inquiries, troubleshoot complex situations, and escalate issues to higher authority when necessary
  • Ensure adherence to BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), MIP (Member Identification Program), and OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) requirements when processing new accounts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Complete all required annual regulatory and lending training as assigned
  • Actively participate in volunteer community events, building relationships and professionally representing SCCCU while supporting our mission
  • Handle administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, answering phone calls, and general clerical duties
  • Travel between SCCCU’s branches, as needed, for training and to provide branch support
  • Other duties as assigned
