About The Position

East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) is searching for a motivated Member Services Representative with an enthusiastic and friendly personality to join our team. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing professional, courteous and efficient service to meet the needs of our members. This position performs a variety of member service functions related to a member's electric and/or fiber service. These functions include, but are not limited to processing member bill payments, processing new memberships and accounts, processing work/service orders, responding to member's inquiries and resolving issues while effectively communicating the Association's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of current and relevant customer service or cashier experience with direct public contact is required.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in business, or a related field, may be accepted as a substitute for the required work experience.
  • Relevant experience is bank teller or other utility work (electric, cable, water, gas, etc.).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Requires the operation of a motor vehicle to travel to and from work locations, when necessary.
  • Remain professional and courteous with members.
  • Create a positive and respectful environment among coworkers and members.
  • Proficient communication and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands and work environment as listed in the job description.
  • Must be able to work irregular and long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, when necessary.
  • Must complete a pre-employment credit check, background check, physical, drug and alcohol screen, and E-Verification.
