About The Position

The Director of Membership Sales & Engagement plays a key role in driving the growth and success of our Association by creating and implementing strategies that boost membership sales and engagement in line with our strategic goals. This dynamic role involves conducting market analysis, managing corporate accounts, leading daily sales operations, and overseeing a passionate Member Engagement team. The director will help build meaningful relationships with our members and support the sales team in their efforts, ultimately contributing to the continued success and profitability of the South Shore YMCA Association. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to train onsite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility.
  • Excellent presentation, writing and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work in a highly flexible, rapidly changing and fast-paced work environment with a diverse group of individuals.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to travel locally.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred two (2) years of sales experience with a proven track record of initiative, creativity and motivation to surpass performance goals.
  • Highly encouraged with sales leadership experience, including supervision of Full-Time and Part-Time Staff, but not required.
  • Strong sales operations and sales process management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Analysis, Strategies and Management Analyze market trends and data to develop and implement sales strategies that meet membership goals and objectives.
  • Drive growth through the creation and effective implementation of sales strategies and closing techniques.
  • Develops and manages corporate account relationships and strategies.
  • Establishes sales goals and guides the direction for the sales team.
  • Partners with the Membership Service team to drive service and identify cross selling opportunities.
  • Staff Engagement & Development Hires, trains, develop and coach a sales management team to meet the Association’s goals and objectives.
  • Works with Training and Development to identify and implement training needs which enhances sales skills.
  • Membership Engagement & Development Building relationships with and among families and members, responding to inquiries and problem solves.
  • Creates a supportive community-oriented environment that attracts and retains new families, fostering deeper connections with the YMCA's cause.
  • Budget & Financial Management Develops & Manages to the sales budget
  • Facility Management Collaborate with branch staff to provide program facilities for members that are safe, clean, adequately equipped, well maintained, and attractive.
  • Volunteer Development Supports volunteer initiatives
  • Financial Development Assists in YMCA fund raising activities/events
  • Community Involvement & Support Engages and builds collaborative relationships with community organizations.
