About The Position
OSU Alumni Association Membership Sales Student Position Who: Open to all current OSU students with interest in communications, marketing, event coordination, public relations, or other related fields. Overview: Join the OSU Alumni Association team for a fulfilling position in membership sales. The membership sales student assists in the acquisition of student network memberships as well as assists in the daily tasks within the Alumni Association programs and events. This position is designed to be an exciting and challenging experience that develops valuable, real-world skills. We will work with the selected students to help the position meet internship requirements. Reports to: Director of University Engagement
Requirements
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- self-motivated
- Flexibility in assignments
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing for events including but not limited to attending, planning or coordination of: Orientation and Enrollment
- Grandparent University
- Other events, as needed
- Promote and Present weekly during New Student Orientation to approximately 4,700 incoming freshmen: Student Network programing and benefits
- Recruit Student Network members
- Serve as an ambassador for events
- Conduct tours for alumni
- Serve in other areas of the Alumni Center, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
