About The Position

Wellspring is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide therapy in an outpatient and community housing setting. This person will also be responsible for supervising developing professionals and provides for the safety, support and wellbeing of the clients with the ability to bill services without supervision. Practices client advocacy and interventions in accordance with the Wellspring Code of Ethics and the clinician’s profession specific code of ethics. In collaboration with supervisor, treatment team, and clients, develops client centered treatment plans to assist clients in achieving mental health goals. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Collaborates with internal Wellspring programs and external referring agencies in processing, interviewing, and screening referrals. Provides individual and group therapy, ongoing support, and crisis intervention services to clients. Administers client assessment tools (e.g., Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, Client Exp Questionnaire, etc.). Conducts clinical intake assessments and complete discharges from the program. Facilitates individual and group therapy and utilizes electronic health records for documentation. Provides information on medication to clients. Provides case management services when necessary to ensure the successful integration of the clients into the community. This position does not currently participate in clinical "on call" but may participate in the future depending on future staffing levels. On call is compensated and rotations would be for 24 hours, Friday to Friday, once a quarter.

Requirements

  • A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is required along with appropriate education for the licensure: a Master's in Social Work for the LCSW and a Master's, Specialist, or Doctorate Degree in Counseling or a closely related field for the LPCC.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with populations with a serious mental illness (SMI) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources, mental status exams and the recovery model of persons with SMI are important skills for the position.
