About The Position

Do you have experience in human services and want to work for a company that actively improves the lives of the individuals it serves? In the Therapeutic Mental Health Professional role, you will employ a range of techniques based on experiential relationship building, dialogue, communication, and case management that is designed to improve the mental health of an individual. Develop individualized treatment plans in line with the eco-systemic structural family therapy model Conducts three scheduled face-to-face meetings with client and caretakers to discuss treatment strategies and services Develop and coordinate discharge plan based on treatment, indicating all relevant aftercare needs and plans Access community resources beneficial to client aftercare needs Conduct psychosocial assessments, genograms, ecomaps, crisis safety plans, and critical event timelines Prepare and train the individual’s biological or legal parents to provide care for their child to prevent the possibility of out of home placement Maintains client’s chart record Works with a partner Mental Health Worker (MHW) to provide the co-therapy dynamic based on the model of therapy Attends required training and meetings

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in human services field
  • 2 years of experience in a CASSP (children's mental health) system program
  • Must be able to work afternoon and evening hours and participate in the on–call rotation, every 3 - 4 months, which includes weekend hours.
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
  • A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

Responsibilities
