About The Position

He/she is a licensed or licensed eligible clinician responsible for the supervision of Mental Health Skill Building (MHSB) staff and provides both clinical and administrative oversight of the program. The position is directly responsible for ensuring compliance with program, state, and federal regulatory requirements as well as supporting staff in delivering effective interventions to improve client functioning. He/she is experienced in providing services to individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities and / or substance abuse issues. This includes clinical assessment, service planning, linking with community services, active outreach and follow-up. OSHA regulations apply to this position.

Requirements

  • Licensed or Licensed Eligible Clinician
  • Valid Virginia driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating all referrals for MHSB services, including screening of referrals, assessing individuals entering the program, and identification of MHSB service needs.
  • Responsible for providing direct supervision of MHSB staff, both clinically and administratively.
  • Responsible for developing individual service plans, reviewing plans at least quarterly, and making ISP modifications as needed and in collaboration with assigned MHSB staff.
  • Responsible for providing on-going training and clinical development activities to all MHSB staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all documentation for MHSB services in the EHR is maintained in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements and agency policies/ procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Services to ensure that MHSB services are of a high quality.
  • Responsible for advocating, linking and coordinating with service providers and other community resources to assist with accessing needed resources for individuals in the program.
  • Responsible for maintaining a small caseload of clients receiving MHSB services.
  • At the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services, responsible for completing initial diagnostic assessments and annual updates for individuals receiving services at the agency.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned and consisted with job description and expectations for the position.
