Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. The MHT/CNA therapeutically interacts with the patient and assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit. Collaborates closely with the more experienced MHTs/ CNAs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance. MHTs/CNAs are expected to use training skills consistently. The MHT/CAN functions as an active part of the treatment team, they are role models to patients and other MHT/CNA’s. The MHT/CNA work’s under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist. Requirements
- High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; or a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Two years of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelor’ s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred.
