What a Mental Health Tech in the Behavioral Health Crisis Center will do: Provide direct, front-line physical and emotional care for patients experiencing acute behavioral crises under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Monitors patients’ physical and emotional well being, reporting behavior and/or physical ailments to appropriate medical staff. Participates in safety management, milieu (environment) management, crisis intervention and prevention. Monitor clients' progress and respond effectively to changes in their condition. Provide emotional support to clients and their families. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records. Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms Performs other related duties as assigned. What a Mental Health Tech in the Behavioral Health Crisis Center will need: High School diploma or equivalent BCLS certification obtained within one week of hire. Preferred: Associate degree or 60 hours of education in human services field. Preferred: 1 year of experience in acute Mental Health setting preferred.
