Mental Health Therapist – Adolescent Treatment (AMFT, ACSW, APCC)
About The Position

At Evolve Treatment Centers, we offer a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise with compassionate care in a supportive, team-based environment. We are currently hiring a Mental Health Therapist for our 6-bed residential treatment center in Tarzana, CA, working with teens ages 12–17 struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Evolve provides cutting-edge residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment programs for teens. Our clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Requirements
- Active California registration as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC (Licensed applicants LMFT/LCSW/LPCC also welcome)
- Ability to pass LiveScan, federal/state background checks, and child abuse index clearances
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Valid Ca driver's license as you may be asked to assist at our other locations.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary therapist for assigned clients and families throughout treatment.
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions on a weekly basis.
- Facilitate 1–2 therapy groups per week and document clinical notes accordingly.
- Complete Biopsychosocial Assessments, Risk Assessments, and develop comprehensive Treatment Plans.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, offering phone support and managing after-hours clinical needs.
- Collaborate with the Utilization Review team to secure ongoing insurance authorization.
- Support clients through discharge planning, including home contracts and after-care referrals.
- Attend weekly Treatment Team and Psychiatry meetings, contributing clinical updates and insight.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
- Integrate Outcomes Program data into diagnosis and treatment planning.
