Responsibilities We are currently hiring an MEP Superintendent with a passion for building! We love creative problem solvers, leaders, and innovators. We value our field and give you the autonomy to run the project. Here are a few items you will be responsible for: Works in partnership with the Project Manager to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during preconstruction phase. Participates in development and final review of scope, buy-out and schedule. Researches, reviews and addresses any owner, landlord, city/state requirement or procedure to avoid project delays, ensure safety, and/or ensure client satisfaction. Develops a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections. Oversees all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site. Drives coordination process on site from meetings to actual installation. Reviews submittals, shop drawings and other product data to ensure proper materials are being installed on site. Coordinate MEPs with architectural and structural elements to make sure systems work and product is aesthetically pleasing. Work with lead super to ensure trades are staying on overall project schedule. Review construction documents for MEPFP constructability issues. Monitor installation and start-up of MEP systems. Review materials and equipment for MEPFP systems prior to installation. Work with Shawmut Engineering Services Division regarding MEP management, quality control, and virtual design and construction. Work in partnership with Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project. Assist with commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in MEP field supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience both in union and non-union environments preferred
  • Experience with central mechanical plants is a plus
  • Mission critical experience is a plus
